A Platteville police officer was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Reports say that a deputy arrested Platteville Police Officer Devin Malott on October 23rd on an operating while intoxicated charge. The report says the vehicle Malott was driving was pulled over while traveling in the wrong direction on Highway 151, just south of Platteville. When contacted about the status of the arrest, Platteville Police Chief Doug McKinley said Malott resigned from the police department following his arrest for driving while intoxicated.
