One person was injured in a two vehicle crash on Highway 151 in Platteville Friday. 20 year old Alec Kessel of Platteville was driving his vehicle north on Highway 151 and pulled to the right side of the road believing he needed to turn right. He realized he actually needed to turn left onto Southwest Road. Kessel looked but did not see any vehicles coming so he turned left from the far right lane. At the same time, 32 year old Jennifer McDonough of Davenport, Iowa, was traveling north and turned in front of McDonough, causing both vehicles to collide. McDonough was injured and taken by Platteville EMS to Southwest Health Center. Kessel did not report any injuries. Both vehicles had heavy damage. Kessel was cited for Improper Left Turn and Operating While Suspended. The Platteville Fire Department and SOS Towing assisted at the scene.
