Two brothers from Platteville are facing multiple charges after Grant County authorities responded to a rollover accident early Wednesday morning. The rollover accident occurred on Highway 80 south of Lone Road near Cuba City around 2:15am. Before a deputy arrived at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office received reports of a man walking north of the crash scene and falling down. Minutes later, a deputy arrived at the scene and found a truck belonging to 22 year old Taylor Mullikin of Platteville on its side with no one around. K9 Riggs was utilized in tracking Taylor Mullikin and found him just north of the crash scene. Just as the K9 unit was getting close to Taylor Mullikin, his brother, 20 year old Tanner Mullikin of Platteville, stopped and picked up Taylor. A Grant County Patrol Sergeant was behind Tanner and immediately conducted a traffic stop. Taylor Mullikin was uncooperative, placed under arrest, but continued to resist arrest. Taylor was arrested for OWI, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and cited for inattentive driving, failure to wear a seatbelt and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Because of his interference with officers, Tanner Mullikin was cited for obstruction. Taylor Mullikin was taken to Southwest Health Center in Platteville where he continued to be resistive and kicked a Platteville Police Officer, who was assisting at the hospital, which lead to an additional charge of Battery to Law Enforcement Officers.
