The Lancaster Police Department is notifying the public of a registered sex offender who will be released to Community Supervision and supervised by Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole Office in Lancaster. Steven Hughes will be residing in Lancaster and living in the 300 block of West Elms Street in a temporary living placement house. Hughes was convicted of possession of child pornography in 2017. He will be released in Lancaster March 17th and will be on supervision until March 2030. Upon release, Hughes will be on a Global Positioning System for life and have a curfew. Hughes will also be on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for life. Hughes is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors. He will not be allowed to have access to the internet without an agent’s approval. He is required to comply with all probation rules of supervision.
