More than $3-and-a-half million dollars in federal funding will be going to support public transportation in Dubuque. In a release from City of Dubuque officials, the Jule bus service has been awarded $3.6-million through the CARES Act. The US Department of Transportation is using $25-billion dollars in grant funding to help transit agencies nationwide. Reports say the money coming to Dubuque’s Jule bus service will be used for employee salaries. It will also go towards costs of added safety features for the Jule’s vehicles and facilities.
