Homicide charges filed in family shooting in Sauk County

Charges have been filed in a Sauk County shootout between family members earlier this week. Thirty-seven year-old Gary Dickson faces two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, for the exchange of gunfire early Monday morning at the home of his mother and stepfather in the village of North Freedom. Online court records show Dickson, who remains hospitalized in critical condition, had a scheduled hearing in Sauk County Court Monday, just a few hours after he allegedly shot his way into the home and was wounded.
