A divided Platteville School Board has approved a blended option to re-open the district this fall. At a special meeting Wednesday, the board initially voted down a proposal to begin the school year with offering only an online-virtual learning option. The Platteville School Board then passed a mixed re-opening plan on a 5 – 4 vote. This plan allows parents the choice to have either in-person or virtual learning for their children. During a Zoom meeting last night, Platteville Superintendent Jim Boebel says that the district’s blended learning plan will take on many forms.
