Gordmans Store in Prairie du Chien Closing

Company officials have announced more than 700 Gordmans and Stage Stores in the US will be closing before the end of the month. Among the locations shutting down is the Gordmans department store in Prairie du Chien. According to a release, no buyer was found after the company filed for bankruptcy protection. Officials say the COVID-19 pandemic also made it difficult for the business to get financing. The Prairie du Chien Gordmans, on the city’s south-end in Riverside Square, will be closing this Sunday (Sept 27).
