Medical Emergency Leads To Arrest For Drug Possession

Two people from Illinois were arrested by Lafayette County authorities after a medical emergency was reported near South Wayne Tuesday. Around 3am, Green County EMS and South Wayne First Response responded to Highway 11 in Wayne Township for a medical emergency. Deputies assisted at the scene and later arrested 34 year old Joseph Winston Jr., and 33 year old Chatara Hardnick, both of Galesburg, Illinois. The two were arrested for Possession of THC. Winston and Hardnick were taken to the Lafayette County Jail where they were booked and later released.
