The overwhelming majority of people who spoke during the Platteville Common Council meeting Tuesday supported a face mask ordinance. The item was brought up for information and discussion only. It came the same day Governor Evers signed an extension to a statewide order. Platteville City Manager Adam Ruechel says he now needs more details. The Platteville Common Council will address the issue again at a future date – which may be during a special meeting scheduled for October 6th, or the council’s regular meeting on October 13th.
