Iowa County Fatal Crash

Iowa County authorities say an 83-year-old Cobb man has died after a head-on crash Friday along Highway 18 near Dodgeville. According to a report, the 83-year-old man crossed the center line and struck a vehicle being driven by a 36-year-old woman from Montfort. Officials say that the Cobb man’s vehicle caught on fire and became fully engulfed. The man – whose identity has not been officially released yet – died in the crash. The Montfort woman – who also has not been identified – was transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officials at the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office say the crash is still under investigation.
