MADISON, Wis. — Emergency crews are evacuating homes on Madison’s north side following a gas leak.
The leak was reported along the 1900 Thackeray Rd. around 9:10 a.m., according to Dane County dispatchers.
Madison Water Utility reported the leak, dispatchers said. The gas main has since been shutdown. Madison Fire Department and Madison Gas & Electric crews are on the scene.
No injuries were reported, according to the dispatchers.
People are asked to avoid the area at this time.
