JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Janesville School District’s middle and high schools will pivot to all-virtual instruction after the school board approved the change during a meeting Wednesday night.
The board members voted in favor of switching to distance learning, which will go into effect Nov. 30 through Jan. 15, 2021. In-person instruction will continue for elementary schools within the district.
Although classes will move to online instruction, the board voted 6-3 to have winter sports. School officials will also allow student-athletes to have up to two spectators at games and matches.
Earlier in the week, Rock County health officials returned to Phase One of the county’s COVID-19 reopening plan due to rising case counts.
