PORTAGE, Wis. — The Wisconsin Dells man who is charged with plotting to help kidnap Michigan’s governor is back in jail.
According to court records, Brian Higgins, 51, appeared in Columbia County Court via Zoom on Thursday morning. He will be held in custody at the Columbia County Jail without bail until further proceedings.
Higgins was arrested last month and has been charged on suspicion of material support in an act of terrorism. Officials allege Higgins was part of the group’s surveillance crew.
His next court appearance has been scheduled for Dec. 15 at 8:30 a.m.
