MADISON, Wisc. — An Alert Day is now in the forecast for Tuesday morning. Light snow will likely make the morning commute slushy.

Light snow will start after midnight, and rain or sleet may mix with the snow at times. Drivers should allow extra time for their morning commute Tuesday, as roads will likely be slick and visibility may be reduced at times. Accumulation totals will range from 1-2″ in most spots, while some areas north and west may see slightly higher totals.
Most precipitation will transition over to light rain by noon.

Rain showers will continue through the afternoon and evening. Scattered showers will likely continue Wednesday, but there is no threat for more light snow. Sunny skies will return for Thanksgiving Day Thursday.
