MADISON, Wis. — Southern Wisconsin experienced its first impactful snowfall for the end of 2020.
Total accumulations were expected to range anywhere from 1-4 inches with the heaviest of totals northwest of Madison.
The snow also caused for slick roads around the region. News 3 Now called around to the sheriff department’s of several counties in our area. Here’s a list of what law enforcement officials said their counties experienced Tuesday morning.
- Adams County: Plows were out this morning, no issues reported
- Columbia County: Authorities responded to one or two rollover crashes related to the weather
- Crawford County: A handful of slide-off crashes reported, roads considered slippery
- Dane County: More accidents reported than normal, no major injuries
- Dodge County: Authorities responded to several slide-offs
- Grant County: Responded to more than a dozen slides-offs as of 10 a.m., 5 crashes with property damage reported, no one injured in the crashes
- Green County: Several slide-offs reported and a couple of accidents, no serious injuries reported
- Iowa County: Authorities responded to a couple of minor slide-offs
- Jefferson County: Weather considered a factor in a fatal crash
- Rock County: State Patrol responded to a few crashes on the interstate
- Sauk County: No major issues reported
