JUNEAU, Wis. — A Dodge County man who used gasoline to start fires in his home after a breakup was sentenced to four years in prison Monday, according to a news release.
Benjamin Mueller, 42, of Lowell, will serve 15 years of extended supervision following his prison sentence, District Attorney Kurt Klomberg’s office said.
On April 2017, a fire was reported on Hilldale Road in the township of Herman.
Officers responded to the home and found Mueller “with soot covered hands, smelling of intoxicants and rolling around on the ground in Totally Pink brand purple pajama pants,” the release said. Authorities also found multiple beer cans around the property.
Officials said the man started two fires in his home’s basement. Other residents of the home were displaced while the property was being repaired.
