FRIENDSHIP, Wis. — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is pursuing homicide and drug charges for two men believed to be responsible for overdose deaths and near-deaths of multiple Adams County residents.
According to a post from the ACSO, 38-year-old Michael Subera of Arkdale is believed to have sold heroin to two people in 2019, ultimately causing them to overdose and die. Law enforcement officials said Subera is also suspected of being part of the delivery chain that led to three additional non-fatal overdoses.
Officials said 52-year-old Ronald Serles of Adams was also involved in the supply chain that led to the three non-fatal overdoses.
An investigation revealed that Subera delivered heroin and/or fentanyl to Serles who went on to deliver the same drugs to two women who overdosed. Serles also overdosed as part of the incident, according to the post.
The ACSO asked the Adams County District Attorney’s Office to charge Subera with two counts of first-degree reckless homicide – drug delivery, three counts of reckless injury and one count of delivery of a narcotic drug. ACSO officials are asking for Serles to be charged with two counts of reckless injury – drug delivery and one count of delivery of a narcotic drug.
