MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after a man’s car was stolen while he stopped at gas station on East Washington Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
According to an incident report, a Minnesota man was throwing things in a trash bin when a stranger got in his car, which was running and unlocked.
The report said the robber had a hand in his pocket and told the man, “Do you want to get shot?”
Police said the stranger then got in the car and drove out of the lot.
Officials said Wisconsin State Patrol troopers contacted Madison police saying the man’s car had been found unoccupied in Wisconsin Dells.
