MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin’s positive percentage of new COVID-19 tests continued its decline Friday, according to data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
As of Friday, the state’s seven-day percent of new positive tests by person dropped to 28.1%, and the seven-day average percent positive for total tests by day dropped to 11.7%.

The dip in positivity rate comes as state and county health officials confirmed an additional 3,464 cases of COVID-19 throughout the state, bringing Wisconsin’s lifetime total to 430,403* confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
According to DHS, there are 50,264 active cases of the coronavirus, which is roughly 12% of the state’s total infections.
An additional 145 Wisconsinites were hospitalized Friday, which is down from Thursday’s 160 hospitalizations.
With an additional 41 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed Friday, at least 4,091* Wisconsinites have died from coronavirus complications.
