WONEWOC, Wis. — Police believe a juvenile is responsible for a fire at an abandoned house in Juneau County.
Firefighters with the Wonewoc Fire Department responded to a house fire at 206 S. East St. around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.
When they arrived, crews found the house fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters also found a separate, smaller fire in a detached garage.
Police said the house was abandoned and did not have utilities hooked up, causing them to start an arson investigation.
Law enforcement officer identified and interviewed a juvenile they suspected was responsible for the fire. The juvenile has charges being referred through the Juneau County district Attorney and Juneau County Department of Human Services.
