JEFFERSON, Wis. — The City of Jefferson Police Department hosted a ‘Shop with a Cop’ event Saturday morning at Walmart in Jefferson.
According to a Facebook post, nine officers and supervisors participated, as well as representatives from Walmart and the Jefferson School District.
The post said kids paired up with officers and were able to purchase whatever they wanted for their families and themselves.
The department said it helped two families and six children this year.
