MADISON, Wis. — The positive percentage of new COVID-19 tests in Wisconsin has once again dropped Monday, according to the state Department of Health Services.
DHS officials said the seven-day positivity rate of new tests by person has decreased to 26.5%. The seven-day equivalent for total tests by day continues to be in the single digits, with Monday’s percentage at 9%.

State and county health officials recorded an additional 1,620* cases of the virus, which is well below the seven-day rolling average of 2,816. The state’s lifetime total has reached 458,973* confirmed cases, and roughly 35,000, or 7.7% of those cases remain active.
At least 4,514* have died of coronavirus complications since the start of the pandemic. DHS officials said 48 more people have also been hospitalized Out of the state’s 11,034 hospital beds, 19% of beds are available for new patients.
