TOWN OF FRANKLIN, Wis. — The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal one-vehicle crash Tuesday night.
Dispatchers received a report of a vehicle that left the roadway and crashed into a tree at roughly 9 p.m. A news release said the incident happened on County Road B near the intersection with Knob Road in the town of Franklin.
Officials said the driver was pronounced dead as a result of the crash. The person’s name has not been released as of Thursday afternoon.
The Plain Fire Department and EMS also assisted the sheriff’s department at the scene.
