ROCKFORD, Ill. — The Rockford Police Department announced in a press conference on Sunday morning that an arrest has been made in connection to the Saturday night shooting near Don Carter Lanes.
The suspect, 37-year-old Duke Webb, is a member of military personnel and a Florida resident. Police said they believe the shooting was completely random and that Webb did not know the victims.
Just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Rockford Police were called to the 4000 block of E. State Street at Don Carter Lanes for a report of shots fired.
Three people were killed in the shooting, including a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old. Three people were injured as well.
Police said they recovered two weapons at the scene, both of which were handguns. Webb will be charged with three counts of murder and three counts of attempted first degree murder, police said.
The conditions of those injured are not known at this time.
