MADISON, Wis. — Several streets in Madison near Vilas Park have been blocked after police received a report of suspicious material inside a vehicle Monday.
Madison police told News 3 Now an active investigation is taking place on Jefferson Street. Officials were unable to confirm what time the original call came in.
Police are taking an “abundance of caution” and have reached out to Dane County’s Hazardous Devices Unit for assistance.
