CITY OF BELOIT, Wis. — A man died Sunday night after being pinned between two vehicles while changing a tire.
According to a news release, a man was changing a flat tire between his vehicle and an assisting vehicle Maple Avenue when another driver struck the assisting vehicle, pinning the man between the two vehicles around 8:30 p.m.
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital where he died.
Officials said the driver who struck the assisting vehicle, a 27-year-old Beloit woman, was taken into custody for homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.
Police ask the public to avoid Fourth Street and Maple Avenue for the next few hours Sunday night.
