MADISON, Wis. — More than 85,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered throughout Wisconsin, according to the state Department of Health Services.
Over 420,000 doses have been allocated to the state as of Tuesday afternoon. Of that amount, 50,000 doses were allocated to assisted living facilities, along with 56,900 for skilled nursing facilities. Health officials said over 266,000 doses have been shipped.
Tuesday’s vaccine update comes as 106 more COVID-19 deaths were confirmed. At least 5,071* in Wisconsin have died of coronavirus complications since the start of the pandemic.
According to DHS officials, 216 people have been hospitalized between Monday and Tuesday. With 11,041 hospital beds across the state, 20% are available for new patients.
The seven-day positivity rate for new tests by person has climbed to 31.9%, while the seven-day equivalent for total tests by day also increased to 11.2%.

State and county health officials confirmed 3,474* new cases of the virus Tuesday, which more than doubles Monday’s count. The state has reached a lifetime total of 491,638* confirmed cases, and over 27,000 of those remain active.
