MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Police Department has reopened several roads on the near west side after investigating reports of a possible explosive device.
Tuesday afternoon, MPD tweeted asking people to avoid Regent St. near S. Brooks and S. Mills streets due to an “active investigation.”
Officers were able to clear the scene around 1 p.m., according to MPD spokesman Tyler Grigg. Investigators determined the device was not an explosive, MPD tweeted.
