FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg police say a man has been arrested in connection with a shots fired incident near an apartment building and school last year.
23-year-old Juwan Wilson of Fitchburg made his initial appearance in Dane County court Monday. Fitchburg police first asked for the public’s help in finding him last month after he allegedly shot a gun at a car that was driving on Post Road last October.
Police say the shooting carried a high degree of concern for public safety because multiple shell casings were found in the area, which is near apartments and other homes, as well as a school and a park.
Fitchburg police say Wilson was arrested in Chicago last week by U.S. Marshals and extradited back to Dane County to face charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony.
