MADISON, Wis. — A missing Dane County teenager has been found safe after nearly a week.
15-year-old Tiah Meigs had last been seen leaving the parking lot of Wisconsin Heights High School on Thursday night, getting into the car of a person she knew. Meigs’ family told authorities they were concerned for her wellbeing and attempts to find her had been unsuccessful.
Boys and Girls Club of Dane County CEO Michael Johnson posted on Facebook Wednesday afternoon that Meigs had been found safe and was on her way home to her mother.
News 3 Now is waiting to hear back from Madison Police to confirm Meigs is on her way home.
Johnson announced a $5,000 reward on Tuesday to anyone who safely returned Meigs home within 72 hours.
