MADISON, Wis. — Four new pharmacy partners throughout Wisconsin are now receiving weekly allocations of COVID-19 through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
The expansion of the program includes the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network (CPESN), Managed Health Care Associates, Meijer and Walmart.
“As we prepare to open vaccine eligibility to people with medical conditions, these pharmacies will be critical in providing access to vaccine in more communities across Wisconsin,” said DHS Interim Secretary Karen Timberlake. “Whether you live in a rural area or a city, every Wisconsinite will have the opportunity in the coming weeks to get the vaccine to protect themselves and loved ones from the virus.”
During the first week, CPESN will get 2,340 doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, Managed Health Care Associates will get 500 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine, Meijer will get 3,510 doses of Pfizer’s vaccine, and Walmart will get 1,500 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine. All of those doses come in addition to the state’s weekly allocation from the federal government.
Residents can use the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ COVID-19 vaccine provider map or call 844-684-1064 to find nearby pharmacies to schedule an appointment.
