JANESVILLE, Wis. — Police are investigating after a man with a knife was reportedly seen along a Janesville bike trail Thursday afternoon.
Officials responded to a “belated” report of someone who was possibly armed on the bike trail between Mackinac Drive and Randolph Road shortly before 2:15 p.m.
The report alleged the suspect approached a 12-year-old riding a bicycle and showed a knife. According to a news release, the incident happened between 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
The suspect has been described as a man who is 6 feet tall and roughly 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black beanie hat and black hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head, a black and white bandana covering his nose and mouth, black aviator glasses, black pants and white sneakers.
