JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Rock County Medical Examiner says the body found in a lake last week is the man who was reported missing after hiking.
The medical examiner’s office confirmed Tuesday the body found in Bowers Lake was that of 66-year-old Kevin J. Doyle of Milton. The medical examiner did not release a cause of death, saying the preliminary autopsy results are pending additional study and testing.
Doyle’s body was found in the lake Friday after disappearing with his two dogs on Wednesday night. The dogs were found dead in the lake on Thursday.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate Doyle’s death.
