SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Sun Prairie police are investigating after they were alerted to a Twitter post alleging a woman was violently robbed and attacked after someone followed her home from the Sun Prairie Walmart.
Authorities said the post indicated the victim contacted police who subsequently began an investigation into the incident, but Sun Prairie Police Department officials said they have not received any reports directly from anyone involved in the incident.
Officials went on to say they contacted other local law enforcement agencies to see if any have received reports matching the one described, but none of them did.
News 3 Now has independently reached out to the Sun Prairie Police Department, Madison Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office regarding the incident. All three told us they had no reports supporting the alleged victim’s claims.
News 3 Now has also repeatedly reached out to the original poster, but we have not received a response.

The post didn’t include any information about where the woman lives, but it did provide a name.
Sun Prairie police said they have tried to contact the original poster, but they have not received a response.
