JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Rock County Public Health Department says it is removing COVID-19 vaccine registration forms from their website starting today.
Health Officer Katrina Harwood says the forms are being removed because a review of the new vaccine registration systems found the forms may actually delay the vaccination process.
The department says anyone who has already signed up with the Rock County Public Health Department for a vaccine but has not been contacted yet will still be matched with a provider and contacted when appointments are available.
The Rock County Vaccine Hotline (608-352-6727) will also still be available for anyone who has questions about how to find a local vaccine provider.
In the meantime, the department is encouraging everyone who’s eligible for the vaccine to use the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Registry, their health care system or local pharmacies to register and get vaccinated.
Health officials say while supply and appointments are limited right now, eventually everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one.
