MADISON, Wis. — More than one million Wisconsinites are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services shared updated data Monday. According to the new numbers, 1,001,142 Wisconsinites have finished their vaccination series; that’s 17.2% of the state’s population.
A total of 1,707,247 Wisconsinites, roughly 29.3% of the state’s population, have gotten at least one dose of vaccine.
The latest DHS data shows Wisconsin’s vaccination rate has steadily increased since efforts began. Last week, health care workers administered 345,763 doses.
To date, health care officials statewide have administered 2,720,952 doses of vaccine since the first shipment arrived in Wisconsin in December 2020.
According to Public Health Madison & Dane County, 112,525 people, which is 20% of the county’s population, are fully vaccinated. More than a third of Dane County residents are fully vaccinated.
