MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man whose body was recovered from Lake Mendota on Thursday morning.
A news release said officials first received word of the incident shortly before 9 a.m. The man’s body was pulled from the lake near the 700 block of East Gorham Street by James Madison Park.
Officials said Joseph Redzinski, 27, of Madison, was found dead in the lake after being reported as missing.
The medical examiner’s office completed a forensic examination Friday. Further testing is underway, and Madison police are continuing to investigate the death.
