MADISON, Wis. — Thousands of people have signed up for secure messaging from the Department of Workforce Development since the department rolled out an overhauled unemployment system last week.
The new system, which debuted March 30, includes the ability to talk directly with claims specialists, sign up for text notifications and securely upload documents. It also features a more user-friendly interface for mobile use.
According to a DWD spokesperson, 7,600 people have signed up for text notifications and secure messaging since the launch.
More than $27 million in PUA claims were sent to more than 18,000 Wisconsinites after the launch last week.
More information about the DWD’s unemployment system is available online.
