SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — A 70-year-old man was hospitalized Friday after crashing his pickup truck off a bridge into a creek 30 feet below.
Authorities with Sun Prairie Fire & Rescue responded around 10:30 a.m. to Highway T near the Town of Sun Prairie for a report of a crash. When the first crew arrived at the scene, they found a mid-sized pickup truck partially submerged in a creek.
Officials said the vehicle, which was driven by a 70-year-old man from Marshall, left the roadway and drove off the side of a bridge before falling into the creek belo.
Firefighters extricated the man from the vehicle and carried him to safety.
Marshall emergency medical services stabilized the man before he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Department also helped with the response.
