Grant County Health Dept Puts J&J Vaccine In Storage For Now

With the FDA and CDC pausing use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, Grant County health officials have put their supply in storage until a review is done. Health Department Director Jeff Kindrai says Grant County has received 400 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine over the past few weeks. However, he says only about 50 doses have been administered, as the County was holding it for a vaccine clinic event. His office has been attempting to contact those who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to alert them of symptoms to watch for. People who did get that version of the vaccine and develop severe headaches, abdominal pain, leg pain, new vision issues or shortness of breath, should contact their health-care provider. Kindrai said that, as of Tuesday, the state was not aware of anyone impacted by blood clots from the vaccine.
