MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin’s utilities disconnection moratorium ends today, meaning thousands of people with outstanding electric, natural gas and water bills could have their services disconnected.
The state’s Public Service Commission is asking anyone with outstanding bills to make payment arrangements or apply for financial assistance immediately if they can’t pay right now.
There is also federal stimulus funding available for those people who are struggling to pay their bills.
People who wish to apply for help can do so online or by calling 800-450-7260.
