PORTAGE, Wis. — One person was killed and another was injured when two motorcycles collided Thursday night while traveling on I-39 southbound.
Authorities with Wisconsin State Patrol responded to I-39 near the 90/94/78 interchange for a report of a two-motorcycle crash just before 8:30 p.m.

When they arrived, troopers found one of the motorcyclists, a 45-year-old man, unresponsive. First responders started CPR, but the motorcyclist ultimately died from his injuries at the scene a short time later.
The other motorcyclist was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Witnesses at the scene told authorities the two motorcyclists collided with each other while negotiating a curve in the roadway. State patrol’s investigation is ongoing.
