MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported Sunday the state has delivered at least one vaccine dose to more than 40% of adults.
The news comes after the U.S. Center for Disease Control announced that nation-wide more than 50% of the population has received one dose.
As of Sunday 2,339,142 people in Wisconsin have received one vaccine dose, a total of 40.2% of the population.
The Wisconsin DHS said, 3,870,751 doses have been administered in the state. The state delivered more than 62,000 doses since Saturday.
A total of 1,603,795 Wisconsinites are fully vaccinated.
Officials reported 518 new cases Sunday. That is a decrease in cases from Saturday’s case count of 727. The 7-day positivity rate also declined to 3.5%.
The state has had a life-time total of 590,458 confirmed cases, 1.6% of those are active.
At least 6,709 have died of coronavirus complications. The DHS withdrew coronavirus as a cause of death from 2 previous individuals on Sunday. Another 34 people were hospitalized in the past day.
