VILLAGE OF KINGSTON, Wis. — A man was arrested Monday night after allegedly leading authorities on an 8-mile chase in Green Lake County.
According to a news release, officials received a call concerning the welfare of Shawn A. Wheeler around 8:15 p.m.
After finding Wheeler in the Village of Kingston, a deputy said they asked him to stop but he left in a truck and led officials on a chase, ending up in a field where he got away from the deputy. Authorities eventually stopped Wheeler’s car and got him to surrender without incident.
Wheeler was taken into custody and is being held at the Green Lake County Correctional Facility.
