MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Children’s Museum held a ceremonial groundbreaking Thursday to launch the construction of its new 10,000-square-foot exhibit for outdoor and active play behind the museum.
The new exhibit will feature a climbing sculpture, the museum’s historic log cabin and smaller hands-on exhibits.
The museum has been closed since last March due to the pandemic, but the museum is expecting to reopen later this summer.
The MCM must raise $4 million by the end of June for the project; so far, it has raised $3.36 million.
