MADISON, Wis. — Appointments are no longer required to get vaccinated at the Alliant Energy Center, according to Public Health Madison & Dane County officials.
Those looking to get vaccinated can walk up, bike up or drive up to the vaccination site. The site is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Most community members are able to get in and out within roughly 45 minutes, including the 15 minute post-vaccination waiting period. PHMDC officials said 75 minutes should typically be plenty of time for the entire process.
Community members who have booked an appointment should keep their confirmation email readily available. Health officials said wearing a top that allows easy arm access is also recommended.
Health officials said appointments are recommended, but they aren’t required. Folks can register for an appointment online or by calling 608-242-6328.
