MADISON, Wis. — The Overture Center for the Arts has announced its lineup of upcoming performances for the fall and winter as it prepares to welcome back artists and patrons alike.
The performing arts center announced about a dozen new shows scheduled from October through February 2022 during a virtual presentation Monday.
“We are so excited that touring shows are getting back on the road again, and we look forward to the joy these performers will bring to our community,” said Tim Sauers, VP of programming and community engagement. “We were able to reschedule many of the shows from last season. We’re sharing the fall and early winter lineup, then later this year, as more shows are solidified, we’ll announce the rest of the season.”
The following shows have been announced as part of the ‘Overture Presents’ series:
- Mariachi Herencia de México Esencia, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. | Capitol Theater
- Paula Poundstone, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. | Capitol Theater
- Stars of the Sixties , Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. | Overture Hall
- Water Street Dance Milwaukee, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. | Capitol Theater
- An Evening with George Winston, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. | Capitol Theater
- Tape Face, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. | Capitol Theater
- Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. | Overture Hall
- An Evening with David Sedaris, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. | Overture Hall
- Chris Mann: Phantom Voices, Jan. 8, 2022 at 8 p.m. | Overture Hall
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in Concert with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Feb. 4, 2022 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. | Overture Hall
Subscriptions will go on sale starting June 1.
