MADISON, Wis. — A Tomah man was found guilty by a federal jury Thursday of child pornography crimes.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the jury reached a verdict after two hours of deliberation following two days of testimony.
Shannon R. Donoho, 44, was convicted of seven counts of producing child pornography, one count of attempting to produce child pornography, and one count of possessing child pornography.
Donoho produced the child pornography on seven occasions between September 2015 and October 2017 and attempted to produce child pornography on June 28, 2018.
The jury also found on July 25, 2018, Donoho had a hard drive containing images of child pornography, and that at least one image was of a minor who was younger than 12. Evidence in the trial showed he hid cameras in a family friend’s home to make the recordings.
Donoho’s sentencing is scheduled for July 28.
He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison on the production charges, and a maximum penalty of 20 years on the possession charge.
