BLOOMING GROVE, Wis. — The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash Friday.
A news release said the single-vehicle crash happened on Interstate-39/90 northbound near Exit 142A in the Town of Blooming Grove. Authorities received reports of the incident at about 3:10 p.m.
Officials said William T. Hughes Jr., 75, of Monona, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The medical examiner’s office completed a forensic examination Saturday, with preliminary results confirming Hughes died of injuries he suffered in the crash.
Further testing is underway, and the death remains under investigation.
